Lubricant =>   minimizing the friction between grit and work-piece

Cleansing =>  he removal of swarf and abrasive waste from the contact zone

Required properties of a coolant

A coolant should have the following properties:

=>  to act as a corrosion inhibitor

=>  does not foam

=>  remains stable for long periods

=>  no health hazard

=>  good wetting ability
